Reach St. Pete is a local organization that works to prevent and alleviate homelessness, low income and at-risk situations by bridging the gap between people and resources. In the month of February, they officially launched their new mobile food pantry dedicated to serving health food priority areas in Pinellas County. They are in need of volunteers to help with the sorting and stocking of the food donation delivery that arrives on Wednesday 5/11/2022. Come join us as we help increase their efforts and lift up families in need. What to Wear: Athletic wear and close-toed shoes. What Time to Arrive: 9:00am Location: see location below (it is a blue two-story building on the corner of Dr. MLK and 8th Avenue S) What to expect: Volunteers will be offloading and unpacking food items including produce, dairy, meats, non-perishables etc. and placing them in their proper storage location. Volunteers will also be helping to stock the mobile food pantry so that it is ready to roll to its biweekly route. Reach St. Pete is observing Florida's current COVID policies that masks are optional for all who have been vaccinated.
